Chris Bramble,
Laugh at the Wind
(independent, 2006)

Laugh at the Wind is good collection of self-penned works that offer a perfect showcase of the talents of Chris Bramble.

A look at some of the track titles can indicate the diversity of emotions and styles on offer here, ranging from the title track through "Widow's Tears" to "Child of Mine." Over the course of 11 tracks, Bramble takes the listener on a musical journey that -- while it can sometimes veer into unusual side roads -- will be fulfilling for the careful listener.

Some of my preferences on the album are "Quiet Joy" and "Long Road."

Bramble has a promising future provided the music and lyrics get enough exposure.
