Dave Townsend resides in Rochester, N.Y., and has been a music lover ever since he got his first transistor radio around 1966. Over the years he has been steadily filling up his house with records, tapes and CDs -- he keeps telling himself he can never have too many. While he likes a variety of music, he has always been drawn particularly to folk and Celtic music. While in high school he remembers the thrill of discovering groups like Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention and Pentangle. While at Emerson College, he did a folk music show on WERS in Boston; he currently does sound for and is on the board of directors of Heartland Concerts, a local folk music concert series. He also works full-time for a local healthcare agency and part-time for a local public access TV facility.

Writing for Rambles.NET has been an enjoyable way for Dave to improve his writing skills and discover some new music.
