The Dog Who Saved Halloween,
directed by Peter Sullivan
(Anchor Bay, 2011)

The Bannisters move into a new neighborhood just in time for Halloween. George Bannister (Gary Valentine) notes strange lights and noises coming from the home of his neighbor, Eli Cole (Lance Henriksen).

Of course, George goes to investigate, only to get himself and the folks he's conned into going with him -- ex-cons Ted Stein (Dean Cain) and Stewey McMan (Joey Diaz), as well as his wife Belinda (Elisa Donovan) -- trapped.

Only, Zeus, the family dog, can save him.

Although released in 2011, we'd never seen this film until this year. Although the plot is fairly predictable, it is nonetheless a fun evening's entertainment.

Oh, it's worth mentioning that the dogs Zeus and Medusa also have voices, provided by Joey Lawrence and Mayim Bialik.
