Tim Lebbon,
The Last Storm
(Titan, 2022)

I got an advance review copy of The Last Storm, by Tim Lebbon, and it is stellar.

In a near future, global warming is out of control. The Earth has dried to dust and water is more valuable than gold. Vast areas of North America are now nothing but desert.

Famine and drought are commonplace. Rains are scarce and no longer are a normal function of nature.

It takes a Rainmaker to make rain now -- and that requires a sacrifice. But what happens when the spell goes wrong?

Tim Lebbon's The Last Storm is compelling and frightening. Be sure you have time to read the whole thing because you won't want to put it down.

This book is gritty, and it's hard to forget.
