Lenore: Wedgies
by Roman Dirge (Slave Labor, 2000)

Lenore is back, and her second volume of stories is called Wedgies. That should be all you need to know to go out and get a copy.

What, you need more? Did you even read my previous review?

Fine. It starts with a tea party, to which Mr. Gosh was NOT invited. The Easter Bunny gets caught in a trap, and Lenore steps in to save the holiday. Something unpleasant comes out of her toilet, and she later fills in for the missing Gnome Queen. Lenore assists a bottomless chipmunk and catches a bad dream in a net. And maybe, just maybe, creator Roman Dirge thought this would be the last book in the series, because he put a bit of finality there at the end, but the good news is that he ended up doing more anyway.

Oh, and there's also the scene where fishies go "pook pook pook" and an inspirational little fable about a squashed ladybug. Just read the damn thing, it's funny.
