herbthecar #2
by Timothy

Nobody can ever complain that herbthecar doesn't have content. For two bucks, it delivers a hefty 76 half-sized pages, full of both typewritten observations on everything about the writer's European vacation and his self-shuttered pictures of the same. It's delightfully cynical, as if Kafka had written a travelogue.

And unfortunately, it's the last issue. Having "purged his ghosts," Timothy has decided that any further outpourings of his spirit will be under another series, if at all.

It's our loss. He's incredible, and it's sad that the first issue is sold out, lending an air of finality about the limited copies of this one. He's intelligent without being overbearing, draws some fabulous, thought-provoking conclusions from his travels, and really missed his calling as a photographer. Visually, it's beautiful. It reads wonderfully.

I'm miffed this is the last one, but even so, don't let it stop you from picking up this issue. The two bucks will be money you won't regret parting with. Send to 133 Fontius Ave. #301, Seattle, WA 98109.
